"Collage is a humble, mashup approach to image-making: I scavenge from other people’s work and bring it into new situations to build on or subvert the original meaning. I'm always looking for pictures in which an internal landscape is revealed expressively. Abstract elements like color, scale, and pattern can unify disparate bits into a cohesive whole - just as a shared experience can forge a relationship, or a defining event can consolidate personal identity.
These are images without narrative and without a clear message, but I hope that viewers will recognize the humor and maybe even the beauty in this predicament we call being human."
